"Detainee 4333453, are you okay?"
'The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning" tells the story of Bradley (now Chelsea Manning) the 24 year old US intelligence analyst and soldier accused of releasing 250,000 military logs from the Iraq and Afghan wars.
Sharp, energetic and fiercely physical the rehearsal process for this production was rigorous but intensely rewarding. The ensemble cast threw themselves into the context of the work, taking part in company runs every morning and incorporating drills and combat style movement into their physical work.
Tim Prices play beautifully captures the eponymous protagonists early life, career and the moral and emotional turmoil surrounding one of the biggest political controversies of the 21st Century.
