PERFORMING PORTRAITURE

@ The National Portrait Gallery

Directed by Ashling Findlay-Carrol & Jo Turbitt

This Site Specific performance follows the story of a young artist falling in love with a wealthy critic who promises to make her work famous. The audience is invited to their debut exhibition and watches as the truth of his intentions with her work become clear.

This was a incredibly fun performance to create, a collaboration between the dance and acting strand at Edinburgh College, using influences from both disciplines. We worked within the gallery devising and rehearsing the show around the public before our performances at the end of the week. It was fantastic being able to collaborate across disciplines over the rehearsal process and to be able to work in such a beautiful space.
